Right in the heart of the high-tech industry: FAIST at the Silicon Saxony Days

From 15 to 17 June 2026, FAIST was represented at the 20th Silicon Saxony Days in Dresden. For us, the event was an important opportunity to engage directly with the high-tech industry, assess current developments and further sharpen our role as a module supplier for demanding industrial and cleanroom applications.

Silicon Saxony stands for key future topics in the European technology sector: microelectronics, semiconductors, smart systems, software, artificial intelligence, digitalization and technological sovereignty. This is exactly the kind of environment where solutions are developed that depend on precision, process reliability, short response times and dependable supply chains.

As a module supplier, FAIST operates at an important interface. Modular rooms, technical assemblies and customer-specific solutions are a central part of modern high-tech production. Especially in industries such as microelectronics, semiconductor technology, medical technology, life science, pharmaceuticals and e-mobility, components must not only function technically, but also meet the highest standards in terms of quality, cleanliness, repeatability and integration.

Marco Heufemann and Ronny Rennebach used the Silicon Saxony Days to speak with various experts about current developments and challenges in the industry. The focus included cleanroom topics, open-system modular solutions, requirements for controlled production environments, stable value chains and the question of how companies can position their processes in a future-oriented and flexible way.

For FAIST, one thing became clear: we are where we are needed. Right at the interface between high-tech requirements, cleanroom-compatible production, technical precision and reliable modular solutions. From acoustics to cleanroom precision, we bring together know-how, in-house manufacturing and implementation expertise.

The exchange confirmed that our competencies address exactly the areas that are currently crucial for many companies: consulting expertise, flexible modular solutions, process reliability, quality made in Germany and the ability to develop practical solutions from specific requirements. Topics such as BIM-ready planning, digital twins and standards-compliant systems are also becoming increasingly important.

The Silicon Saxony Days showed how valuable personal conversations, reliable networks and a shared understanding of the next development steps are. For FAIST, the message is clear: rethinking cleanrooms means not looking at solutions in isolation, but developing them with foresight, system openness and a clear focus on the requirements of tomorrow.

We would like to thank all our discussion partners for the open exchange and look forward to taking up the insights gained, deepening contacts and consistently addressing concrete topics.
